The Primary Interhouse English and Bahasa Melayu Quiz was held on 27th April 2010. The winner of the Bahasa Melayu Quiz was Cornwall house, with Macdougal as the runner-up. The winner of the English Quiz was Macdougal house, with Hollis as the runner-up.
Mdm Lorene Fong together with two students, Siti Khairiyati Awg Hj Suhaimei and Muhammad Hashif bin Husaini (both of Sec 5CS) participated in the national forum organized by STEP centre and Dept of Environment (Parks and Recreations), Ministry of Development held on 14 & 15 April. They attended the Asean Forum held in Empire Hotel and Country Club, from 22 to 25 April.
The prize presentation ceremony for students who scored 5As in PSR 2009 and best students from Year 1 to Year 6 2009 was held on April 21st, 2010 at Hua Ho Manggis Mall. All our 41 students (in Pry 6 2009) who scored 5As in the PSR were awarded. Yeo Yeo, Chiew of Yr 4R was awarded the Hadiah Pelajar Cemerlang Peringkat Negara Tahun 3 Zon Brunei dan Muara for 2010.
Motivational talks for PSR, PMB and GCE O Level students were conducted by the Counselling and Career Unit, MoE on 8, 6and 17 April respectively as arranged by the Counselling teacher, Cikgu Normah Aziz:
Cikgu Sheikh Mohd Nuh and 4 Sec 5 students attended a career talk and exhibition (Karnival Kerjaya 2010) by the Labour Department on 13 April.
Mrs Helen Kang conducted a 1-hour briefing session on SPN 21 for the parents of Year 4 (who were not familiar with the new SPN 21 system) on 10 April 2010 from 3pm to 4pm to enlighten them on the overall assessment, coursework and standardizes grading system.
The 3rd Private Secondary Schools’ English Language Oratory Competition 2010 was organised by SMYSHHB on 10th April 2010 for Year 7 and 8 students with the theme “21st Century Skills are a must for today’s students”
Ai’syah Intan Aqilah bte Abdullah from Yr 8G won the 3rd runner up trophy. Teacher-in-charge was Mrs Beena Mamman.
