Visit of the President of Tajikistan

Students from Yr 8G and 8Y with their teachers lined up along Jln Tutong (near Istana) to welcome the President of Tajikistan during His visit to Brunei on Saturday, 3 April.

Interhouse Science and Maths Challenge

The Science and Maths Department organized the Interhouse Science and Maths Challenge on 1 & 3 April. The winning house was Hollis and Cornwall was runner-up.

Under 12 Interschool Badminton Tournament for Primary Schools (Brunei I) 2010

It was organized by the Curriculum Department and played at Pusat Belia Sports Complex from 15 to 18 March, hosted by SR Sungai Kebun. A total of 16 schools took part in this tournament. Six students from our school took part in the tournament and four students reached the finals in three of the four categories, bagging two golds and a silver. The teacher-in-charge was Mrs Yasmin with Mrs Koo, ms Siti Aminah and Ms Maria assisting. Mr Tokching Ikas was the coach.

Entrepreneurship Fair

The Commerce and Account Department organized an Entrepreneurship Fair for all the students in the school on Wed, 17 March from 10.00 am to 1.30 am. Response from the students was very encouraging.

Annual Cross Country

About 800 students took part in the annual cross country held on Saturday 13, March 2010 at Bukit Shahbandar from 8.00 am to 10.15 am. Danson House was the champion with Hollis as the runners-up. Jasra Harisson provided the Milo drinks. The Guest-of-Honour was Dato Job Lim.

    

MoE's Badminton Tourney For Private School Teachers

The Ministry of Education's Private Education Section organised a group badminton tournament among teachers of formal private schools throughout the nation. The championship ran for five days and continued again on March 5, 7 and 12 . This championship - an annual project by the ministry's Private Education Section - serves to strengthen and foster ties among the teachers, as well as to provide them opportunities to showcase their respective talents and skills.In addition, it is to support the Health and Education Ministries in promoting more positive lifestyles.

St. Andrew’s School was runner-up in the non-government schools’ teachers’ Badminton competition held on Friday, 12 March. We lost to BPS (2-1). The teachers were:
